Senior Curator of Natural Sciences, Bristol Culture

Bristol Museum & Art Gallery
Queens Road

I will be returning from maternity leave in August 2016 and taking up the role of NatSCA/GCG (Geological Curators' Group) rep. This involves attending meetings of these closely related subject specialist groups to keep them updated on each others' activities, and helping to co-ordinate joint projects and meetings.

I am Senior Curator for the natural sciences collections at Bristol Culture. Here, I manage a small team of specialist curators to care for and enable wide access to 1.15 million geology and biology specimens. My work ranges from developing strategic projects and collaboration, to delivering exhibitions and public programmes, to ensuring best practice in collections management. I am interested in strategic approaches to realising and protecting the value of regional natural sciences collections. My subject specialist area is in palaeontology.
