Embedded within the Vertebrates & Anthropology Curatorial Division, this is an important role in a world-renowned institution with a unique scientific mission and public profile.

The Curator will work closely with the Anthropology and Human Remains curators, Principal Curator in Charge and Museum Registrars team to ensure best practice by reviewing collections documentation and preparing due diligence reports for Anthropology and Human Remains collections required for research, public engagement or outreach. These collections are frequently accessed by internal and external researchers and parts of the Anthropology collections are heavily used for public outreach activities. The Curator will develop expertise in existing policies and procedures, and external regulatory frameworks to provide advice to internal stakeholders. The Curator will also perform due diligence checks on proposed acquisitions and loans and provide day-to-day support for activities relating to Human Tissue Act licensed activities.
